Bali Baby Stretch Wraps

These knit wraps are soft, silky and stretchy like your favorite T-shirt. They are hand-dyed and batiked by artists in Bali, Indonesia using non-toxic dyes on 100% cotton jersey. The process of hand-dying and batiking removes much of the lengthwise stretch but leaves the widthwise stretch, making these super supportive and comfy for a wide range of ages. Knit wraps they can be used safely in all the same positions as gauze wraps and woven wraps while retaining the snuggly quality of your favorite T-Shirt. Each wrap comes with a detailed instruction manual.

Bali Baby Stretch Wraps are available in one size = 6 yards. This size wrap will allow most people (up to size 24) to wear their baby in any position.

For years, Gypsy Mama has received requests to make a stretch wrap "like Freya," their most popular Breeze pattern -- this was inspired by that. With the greens of Freya layered in beautiful fading stripes, this wrap can look a little different each time you wear it, and it looks great on both men and women. It's named "Alyssa," the name of a beautiful friend named for the Alyssum flower this wrap echoes.

This camoflauge is subtle -- it mirrors not only traditional desert camoflauge but also the subtle patterning on the backs of some tortoises. For this reason, it's named "Chukwa," after the story of a first and oldest turtle who supports the earth on his back.

The beautiful earthy stripes in this wrap ebb and flow like the dance of water and land in a free-form stripe. This design is named for the most loved Indian river goddess Ganga, who descended from heaven to flow upon the earth. Like a loving mother she brings life-giving water and

nurturing to humankind.

Brown is the new black, and this one is gorgeous. It seemed appropriate to name this rich, brown wrap, the color of good coffee, after Hiruko, a Japanese god of the morning sun. Hiruko is also the protector of little children - the perfect name for the perfect wrap for you and your baby.

The simple lines in the black of this carrier create the feeling of moving water around the dancing Koi fish -- in the center, there is a Daddy koi dancing with his baby ... nearby, two other fishes play. This was carefully designed so that even when you wrap the crosses on the outside, you still have fishes to play over the wrap.

The Phoenix is the mythical bird that rises from the ashes anew, a symbol of hope, strength, and rebirth. The Phoenix is painted in the glorious image of a sunrise or sunset-- representing both an end and a beginning--an endless cycle. It has wide, brilliantly colored stripes running along the length of the wrap, from sky bue to fuchsia to gold to sunny yellow with the violets and oranges that fall in between. It is named after the keepsake wrap that inspired it.

Hadley began with inspiration from the Blue Iris, which as been touted as the "color of the year!" The artist was asked to mute it and quiet it, creating something subtle, beautiful, springlike, and glorious. The results are stunning -- like a meadow of heather flowers.

The rich browns and varied blues, along with the beautifully interwoven stars, suns, and leaves, reminded us of Isis, Egyptian mother-goddess, daughter of Earth and Sky.
